What is Acu-Yoga?
A soothing, nurturing experience. Acu-Yoga is a gentle
system of exercises blending two ancient healing practices...yoga
and acupressure. Yoga balances our body-mind connection
using yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation.
Acupressure balances our body's vital life forces by directly
manipulating body energy through a system of points and
meridians. Each Acu-Yoga posture and movement presses and
stretches muscles, nerves, and acupressure points, releasing
tension so energy can circulate freely, helping the body heal itself.
What are the benefits?
Acu-Yoga increases flexibility in the muscles, joints, and soft
tissues. It balances the energy system and the chakras, while
enhancing all the systems of the body. Acu-Yoga can relieve pain,
illness, and other physical imbalances. It can also ease stress
and emotional trauma, leaving you feeling calm, balanced, and
refreshed.
What do I need?
Acu-Yoga is performed on a yoga mat in comfortable clothing you
can stretch in. Mat and props are provided. You may want to
dress in layers or long sleeves/pants to stay warm throughout the
session.
