I’ve noticed that as my days get busier and my teaching/healing practice continues to flourish, I’m slowing down in my approach to teaching. Fewer words. More quiet space. Longer-held poses. And I see this having a deep effect on my students. As I slow down, they slow down. This is a marvelous discovery for me. It provides the yin to my yang of working nearly 7 days a week, with several classes and clients a day. And I think slowing down is something we all need.
The world just keeps spinning faster. We’ll all burn out if we keep up this pace. I find the funny thing is, I can get more done with a clearer head, if I just slow down my approach.
After all, who wins the race – the tortoise or the hare?
