You may be in for a period of transformation. Someone told me that, since the dragonfly lives as a nymph in water for 2 years before transforming, that having one visit you means you're in for a 2-year period of transition. He swoops in and sits atop a horsetail plant by my koi pond. He looks at me, maybe even a smile, then he nods his head. I'm not a spiritual man. But I feel like he's communicating with me in some way. Perhaps he's my daemon? My power animal? I came across your story researching the red dragonfly. Hopefully it means all good things. I did pet him by the way. He let me stroke his tail, where it seems to be where his lungs are after observing him breathe. I live in Keller Texas between Dallas and Fort Worth, it was simply amazing and so bright red I so wish I had had my camera!
